My Story

I began what would become J T C photography & design in 2006 after a 10-year career as a graphic artist/designer and art director in the marketing and advertising industry. My eight years at a custom design studio brought me into contact with several great photographers that we used for different projects. Having had a strong  and serious interest in photography in high school, which renewed around 2000, I decided that I wanted to pursue that route in my career. I began in a small studio space at my place of residence in Downtown Freehold, New Jersey back then, and now I have a professional studio space Downtown, having come full circle back to the ‘second hometown’ where I began serious photography.

I photograph primarily in the studio having a natural love and talent for studio lighting and creating small ‘constructed reality’ sets in which to shoot products. My focus is on custom composite product work, but I also shoot lifestyle, portraits and architectural subjects. I also love to photograph on location using artificial light, always creating a look that appears to be lit naturally. 

I am the exclusive product photographer, retoucher and visual creative partner for Bask World Technologies/pheromonecologne.com, a relationship now in its 7th year. Another accomplishment I’m proud of that relates directly to my love of 19th century American architecture, is personally securing a Certification of Eligibility for the William Gulick House in Lawrence Township, New Jersey (built 1855) to be included in the national and state historic registers. For that project I photographed the house inside and out.
